Errm Dave do you not realise just how many thousands and thousands of gardening blogs there are out there! It's a really popular topic for blogs! What you do need are photos though, I don't think you can do garden blog postings without, as we all want to see!

I'm always happy to read other people's garden blogs and see what they are doing and how they go about it all, what they like to plant and the successes and failures. We all learn and take heart from each other.

My biggest challenge by far is free draining soil and gardening in drought conditions every year which means that evenings in summer are usually spent watering, sometimes as much as 4 hours a day, which kind of puts the damper (excuse the pun) on the whole thing. Of course I don't just grow fruit and veg, that's a small amount of what I grow.

Thanks Ceridwen, so far I'm not aware of anyone using my blog for ammunition, I hope that never happens. I think I wouldn't be able to help myself poking fun at those in question if it did happen. They would have to be pretty damaged to need to do something like that, and I'd see it much more as their problem than mine!
Glad you like the blog, I will keep posting.

I guess idle curiosity is one thing. When it gets to be a nuisance is when one knows there are people deliberately reading one's blog in order to see what "ammunition" they can find to use against you .....grrr...

I've encountered this myself - and am aware that I've got at least one follower to my other blog that isnt "for real" - they are a bully hoping for ammunition.

That's the worst that can happen - and I've seen one blog I used to follow "driven off air" because it happened to her and another one going through all sorts of hassle to remain "on air" - and try to prevent the nasties reading her.

I've elected to remain publicly "on air" - as I don't see why any "real" readers that might ever come across/be interested in my blog should miss a read they might find of interest just because of a bully or two.

Me - I like your blog - and read it for all the right reasons - ie looking to see what new information of interest I might come across.

Keep up the good work.

As anyone who's ever been around children knows, we have an innate instinct to pick flowers, berries and leaves from a very young age. And then to stick everything of interest into our mouths! Most parents react with horror when this happens and my theory is that it's at this time that the fear of poison berries and toadstools is instilled into young minds. That paired with an ignorance of plant life virtually kills any interest in eating wild food.
